Statement
I create my artworks out of light and concrete materials. Light and shades of dark are the means with which I lead the person seeing and experiencing the artwork to a place of calmness. The light domes with drawings on them are kind of thought bubbles of memories of trees and of hopes for the future. I have adopted the shape for the light domes from the the seeds and seed capsules of different plants. To me, the seeds represent knowledge and power. The light, in turn, represents wisdom.I am examining the memory of a seed and the mutation of plants through art. Plant mutations are common and we humans often cause them to increase in number by our own actions. Though storylike elemets are characteristic of my artistic expression, they do not exclude the factual state to which we have driven the environment.
